19 year old Teshome a 2nd year Civil Engineering student at Addis Ababa Univ., brought us close to tears as he shared his story. He damaged his left wrist playing football as a 10 yr old, but it was too long before he received treatment and gangrene set in. His father couldn’t afford medical treatment and he was sent to a Government Hospital where his arm was removed at the shoulder. He is quiet, humble and so thankful for the support given by EEA as his parents could not even afford the cost of transport to enable him to take up his University place. We realised he needs a laptop - it is hard to imagine an engineering student managing without one.
